ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Bret Gilliam: Bret is a twenty five year veteran of the professional dive industry with over 14.000 logged dives worldwide. He is licensed as a USCG Merchant Marine Master, submersible pilot and recompression chamber supervisor. A prolific writer, photographer and speaker, he is author of seven books on diving including Mixed Gas Diving, Nitrox for Sport Divers, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, and The Guide to caribbean Live Aboard Dive Vessels. He is a member of the Explores Club and listed in Who´s Who in Diving. He is president of Ocean Tech, a diving consulting company. Additionally, he is Chairman of the Board for NAUI and founder of Technical Diving International. Bret is the ex-world record holder for deep diving.
Robert von Maier: Robert is the President of Bluewater Publishing and the Publisher/Managing Editor of WWII Military Journal. He is the Marine Science Consultant for Watersport Publishing, Inc. and an editor for Discover Diving magazine, an international publication for which he authors Ocean Facts, a semi-technical column about marine life.
