Whales.
Whales are the largest animals on our planet. For centuries they have fascinated people with their size, grace and power. These creatures, mammals like us, have adapted in remarkable ways to enable them to thrive in an entirely aquatic environment. However, many species were hunted to near-extinction during the twentieth century and some populations still face an uncertain future.
This book, with stunning colour photographs, examines all the great whales, providing an insight into their behaviour as well as exploring their relationship with humans past and present.
